Tacking Graffiti Through Art

Rather than installing plain white cabinets that only add to existing street furniture and attract graffiti, we commissioned Emma Goss and Hollie Jackson of Community Murals, a local CIC, to create artwork for our cabinets.

These can be seen across the Island with each encapsulating the spirit of their locality. Since the first of these cabinets was installed in 2023, none have been vandalised with graffiti. Testimony to the pride these instil in our communities and once again reflecting our ‘because we care’ ethos and support for our Island community.

An initiative recognised by receiving the ‘Creative Impact Award’ at the Isle of Wight Chamber Business Awards in 2025.

“We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of Ryde Town. Through our artwork, we aim to inspire positivity and create a sense of pride within the community.”
