WightFibre was named ‘Best Rural Internet Service Provider’ and ‘Best Fibre Infrastructure’ at the 2025 ISPA Awards, held at City Central at the HAC. The awards testimony to our work in delivering high-quality broadband to rural communities and industry leading fibre infrastructure across the Isle of Wight.
The ISPA Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious internet industry awards in the UK and shine a spotlight on the organisations and individuals driving the UK’s digital future. These coveted awards organised and presented by the Internet Services Providers’ Association (ISPA), the UK’s trade association for providers of internet services come during their 30th anniversary year, making them even more special.
"WightFibre is committed to making the Isle of Wight one of the best-connected places on the planet. Winning these two awards proves that not only does WightFibre have the Best Fibre Infrastructure in the country but couples this with great customer service to win Best Rural Service Provider. Thank you to ISPA UK for this recognition – it inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional service to our Isle of Wight community. Thank you too to the WightFibre customers who completed thousands of speed tests to help us win these awards." – John Irvine, WightFibre CEO.
“The ISPA Awards remains a brilliant occasion to celebrate the achievements of our industry and the people shaping the UK’s telecommunications landscape. As ISPA UK marks its 30th anniversary this year, it’s especially inspiring to reflect on how far our sector has come, and the role our members continue to play in building a world-class digital future for the UK. This year’s winners exemplify the innovation, resilience, and dedication that define our sector. As we continue to tackle challenges and embrace opportunities, from moving towards fibre rollout completion to enhancing digital inclusion, these organisations and individuals are laying the foundations for a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable future,” - Steve Leighton, ISPA UK Chair.
